GRAY Magazine
We are very honored to be featured in the current issue of GRAY Magazine! We created the arrangement for this article a year ago last April, so that the flowers shown would actually be in season when the article was published. Many thinks to the fabulous Debra Prinzing for writing such a nice piece, and for all the farmers at the Seattle Wholesale Growers Market for growing such incredible flowers! You can read the article online here.

The NEW YORK TIMES
We were honored to be included in this wonderful article about locally-grown, seasonal wedding flowers published in the New York Times last Sunday! It was quite a thrill to see our name alongside some of our absolute flower heros: Jennie Love of Love 'n Fresh Flowers, Erin Benzakein of Floret, Ariella Chezar, Sarah Ryhanen of Saipua, and Max Gill. You can read the article here.
It gets us really excited for all the weddings we will be a part of this year, and all the beautiful, local flowers we will get to work with! Below is a photo of one of our all-time favorite flowers- a tree peony. This particular tree peony was grown by none other than my husband's mother, right here in Seattle, and found it's way into a bridal bouquet last May. Photo by Stephanie Guerrero.

Happy Holidays and......
And....... a few weeks back, my friend and local flowers author and advocate Debra Prinzing interviewed me for her Slow Flowers Podcast. It was a treat to re-live the interview this morning as it is now live at this link: http://www.debraprinzing.com/2013/12/26/slow-flowers-podcast-kelly-sullivan-of-seattles-botanique-an-urban-floral-designer-with-a-backyard-cutting-garden-episode-121/
I hope you and yours are having a wonderful holiday season! Over here at Botanique headquarters we are busy painting our newly remodeled basement, and I am learning how to use photoshop so that I can do things like put text over a photograph (see my first example above) and make photo diptychs for this blog and the website. Stay tuned for an updated gallery in early 2014!
