Kaitlyn and Dave at Sodo Park

Kaitlyn and Dave were married at Sodo Park in late June of last year, and I am so happy to share these beautiful images of their wedding, courtesy of Lucas Mobley. White peonies and garden roses, dusty miller, olive foliage, lysimachia, and silver brunia topped the flower bill for this classic, urban celebration. Congratulations Kaitlyn and Dave!!!! I wish you all the best in your life together.

Katie and Her Bouquet

I love these shots of Katie with her bouquet from early August- so pretty! All captured with such gorgeous light by Saskia Mizushima.

The Dock......

........ and the DUCK......

I have to admit, he was a very cute duck. But when he started walking towards that white aisle runner, all I could think was, "Oh my God, what if he POOPS!!!!" I considered chasing him off. But one look at my dirty shoes and I realize that I would be doing more harm than good. I contemplated waiting it out for the next few hours, watching Mr. Duck and trying to monitor his every move before the wedding took place. But in the end I realized that this was a dock on the water- Mr. Duck's turf, not mine. I had to go, and had to hope that he would be respectful of the white aisle, the white flowers, and the wedding guests....

I later heard that the wedding went off without a hitch. The flowers and the aisle looked great, and Mr. Duck was nowhere to be seen....

Lady Slipper Orchids, Ferns, Larkspur, Pine Cones, Blackberries, Queen Anne's Lace, White Ranunculus, and a few little sprigs of Bupleurum.

The chickens were very curious about yesterday's photo shoot. Whooping and clucking away while I snapped photos of the flowers. And while I know we all come here for the nice, pretty flower photos, I had to throw this one up too.
