The final bouquet from my January Bouquet Study- thinking of spring, lots of movement, and sweetness...
Featuring a pink and green color palette, and some of my favorite flowers: parrot tulips, ranunculus, green, hanging amaranth, lisianthus, green berzillia, and the tiniest bit of stock...
And what would a bouquet be without some pretty pins and ribbon...
By the way, if you are planning a wedding this summer and would like amazing flowers for your celebration, let me know! I'm currently booking 2012 dates.... send an email to: emailbotanique@gmail.com
I would love to design flowers especially for you!!!

Jewel Tones
Recently I have been tending towards a more pastel palette, but today the jewel tones struck.
Bold, vibrant and dramatic, there they be.
Check out that moss on the steps! Not officially part of the arrangement, but it certainly got the "Be bright! Be bold!" memo.
I typically let amaranth spill over the edges of the vase- I love the way it cascades downward, creating a strong sense of movement. In this arrangement, I also wove a strand of it through the middle of the arrangement (see above), and really liked this effect- like a little river of lime green beads swirling through the flowers.
Jewel tones, I like you. I think you're a keeper.

Flower for Yoga Behind Bars
Last week, I had the honor of doing flowers for a fundraising event for the incredible non-profit Yoga Behind Bars. Check them out: they do amazing work bringing yoga and meditation to prison inmates, and if you are able, please donate!!!
As it was dark when I finished the flowers, I wasn't able to take any photos before delivering them. This is the one shot I took on-site that isn't super blurry- the colors are off due to the gorgeous candlelight filling the room, so you will just have to imagine the colors: bright sunset orange dahlias, coppery amaranth, dark eggplant ninebark foliage, pops of butter yellow, seasonal grasses and foliage in varying shades of green and autumn gold.........
CHECK OUT YOGA BEHIND BARS!!! CHECK THEM OUT!!!
