Rachael and Kenji at The Center for Wooden Boats
A few photos from Rachael and Kenji's beautiful wedding in mid-August. Exceptionally trusting, kind, and down to earth, we discussed their vision and the feeling they wanted to create, and they completely trusted me with all the details of their flowers, down the the color palette! The only thing they said was that Rachael's family was sure to bring lei's, and there was nothing they could do about that. Well, that was no problem by me- I LOVE LEIS! And these ones were as pretty as they come. Their ceremony was small and intimate, and took place at a private residence in Hunt's Point. For their evening reception at The Center for Wooden Boats, they wanted to create a relaxed atmosphere for their guests. They laid out beach blankets for folks to sit on as they ate, drank and celebrated the newlyweds, and strung 1,000 paper cranes amidst lights over the dock. Rachael's gorgeous dress was made by Chrissy Wai Ching, and all of these images come from Jennifer and Brian of Photo Elan. More photos of their wedding can be found on the Photo Elan blog here.

Peter & Charlotte at the Clise Mansion
It starts like this:

And turns into this...
And this...
Peter and Charlotte were married at the Clise Mansion on August 17th, 2012. Charlotte was just lovely to work with, and chose one of the prettiest color palettes out there: blush, cream, pale and canary yellow and hot pink. I loved making these designs! And I love re-living them through the photos of the amazing Jennifer and Brian of Photo Elan-- be sure to hop over to their website and blog and check them out!
The boutonnieres were all created with little flowers made out of cedar wood that Peter's aunt made, that had been in the family and used in boutonnieres before- I think they look like little pine cones.
I loved Charlotte's bouquet. It is hard to go wrong with cafe au lait dahlias, creamy roses, baptisia and clematis foliage, and one of my favorite perennials (though it's name always makes me laugh) gooseneck loostrife!
Congratulations Charlotte and Peter!!! I wish you all the very best!

And then becomes magic....
