Coogan and Chuck at Sodo Park

I've been trying to put together a "Year in Review," post for 2014, but it feels impossible to sum up the year- there is just way too much to try and squeeze into one post. Alas, I have decided to forgo the idea, and instead to finally blog one of my absolute favorite weddings from last year: Coogan and Chuck's gorgeous wedding at Sodo Park. All the best flowers of late July went into this wedding: cream and blush garden roses, TONS of clematis, my favorite, vintage-feeling hydrangea (called 'Quickfire')..... it was a good one. Sophisticated, elegant, romantic and whimsical all at the same time.

As always, it was a true pleasure to work with Megan from Clutch Events. All the unique furniture pieces came from Vintage Ambiance. And major thanks to Chantal Andrea for all these gorgeous photos! Congratulations Coogan and Chuck!

Magnolia Branches

With their angular twists and fuzzy little buds......... I think they look a lot like reindeer antlers.

The corner of a muddy boot for good measure :)

Loving watching the very end of fall... loving how the austere elegance of branches emerge as leaves circle their trunks with the skirts of their summertime clothes.
